Hollywood star make-up artist Matin Maulawizada and a founder of AfganHandsInc. was visiting The Greendress/Elämäntila Oy press day. Matin will be seen presenting on Finnish Catwalk trade show this Monday 24th August, and same day on Yle Morning TV show at 8:14. Lots of articles and postings coming too.

Our press day was a succee! Vegan brunch, interesting presentation by Matin, The Greendress/Elämäntila Oy latest news, new AW2009 The Greendress Custom Couture collection release and Organic Surge -product presentation inspired and got lots of thanks from the guests.

It has been a while...
After Belqis was assassinated, our amazing friend Naz Toloui suffered a long period of battling illness and left us, left me and left Afghan Hands in a state of total depression and despair.  She was one of the most active members of Afghan Hands family.  She helped me in every aspect of our work.  I finally made it back to Kabul and I'm planning to resume blogs about our work.  My access to internet is limited and when available it is slow so I cannot post as many photos as I love to.  But I'm HOME!

But little is known about its contemporary culture.

This issue addresses the socio-political and cultural contexts of Afghanistan while celebrating its contemporary art,

music, theatre, photography, cinema, poetry; the Afghan people and their lives.
